The programme for Race Day Sunday 1nd May is:
• 7:00am - Registration and issue of timing bracelets, swim caps and event baseball cap at the Surf Club, Byron Bay on Sunday May 1nd from 7am.
• 8:00am - Mini Swim Registration must be completed in time to allow entrants to walk to Clark’s Beach for their Race Start.
• 8:45am - Staggered start at The Pass area. Actual Start area depending on conditions on the day.
• 9:00am - Classic Registration closes.
• 9:15am - Race briefing for the Classic takes place at the tents outside the Surf Club.
• 9:15am to 10:00am - Buses leave the Surf Club for the Start Line at Watego’s Beach.
• 10:00am - Staggered Starts for the Classic commence.
• Those who wish to wear clothing to the Start for weather protection are reminded that there are no facilities for these to be returned to the Surf Club. The Salvation Army will, however, will have a clothing bin available for those that wish to wear, and then donate clothing items to them.
• Approx 11:00am - The Elite/Superfish category will be the last wave to leave Watego’s.
• 1:00pm - The Presentation is scheduled to start at with lucky draws for entrants and raffle draws as well as the Swim Presentations.
